Squash Dinner-disco |

A date for your diaries - Friday 13 June. Penny English
is organising an end-of-season dinner disco. It will be at Trojans so
all profits go to the club and section section rather than to some
hotel. More details here, and on the club notice board, as they

Club Charter |

On 23 April,
Trojans Squash was awarded the England Squash
Club Charter (Silver Level).
Glen Buxey-Softley, the
Squash Chairman received the award on behalf of the section,
from Fraser Liversage, the England Squash SE
Area Manager. A Club with a Charter Mark has
demonstrated to its national body that it has;

Fund-raising
Chinese Banquet
|
|
Colin Goh is organising a Chinese Banquet at the Taste of
China Restaurant in Cosham on Saturday 29 March. "An experience of a
lifetime" he describes it and with Colin's reputation as a gourmet of
Chinese food, I'm sure it will be. It's £50 per head with all wine at
the table included in the price. All proceeds will go to the squash
sponsorship fund for next season. Tickets are limited. If interested in

Box Leagues |

Our new organiser Mike Smith will be reinstating the
Trojans Masters and Trojans Classic tournaments for box league
participants. For more on these competitions, please read this
information sheet

From 1st December 2007 Mike Smith will become organiser
of the Box Leagues. Mike's contact details can be found on the Box
League page of this website. The section would like to thank Marcus for
organising the leagues for at least the past 5 years and probably much
longer.

Trojans Open Tournament |

A Trojans Open
Tournament is being held at the club on
1st/2nd September. The tournament, sponsored
by Scubair and MY WRAP, is open to men and
women players of all standards. For an entry form (entries close on 27

Squash Section AGM |
|
Glen Buxey-Softley was elected Chairman and Keith Fisher
as Treasurer of the Squash Section at the Section AGM held on 14 June.
Our thanks to the outgoing Chairman and Treasurer Graham Churchill and
Tim Lane for the work they put in during their term of office. More on
the new committee later.

Squash Section AGM |

The Squash Section AGM will be held in
the Clubhouse on Thursday 14 June starting at 7pm. This is your
opportunity of having a say on how the section is run and electing the
committee you want to serve you. The current Chairman, Secretary and
Treasurer will not be standing for re-election. Whilst we have
nominations for Chairman and Treasurer, you are entitled to nominate
anyone you choose for any of the committee posts. Please come along and
show your support!
